Sustainable Ecosystems for Disaster Resilience: Good Practices and Success Stories Conference 10 January 2025
The international conference “Sustainable Ecosystems for Disaster Resilience: Good Practices and Success Stories” will be organized in Antalya on May 14-16, 2025, with the co-financing of AFAD Presidency, the European Union (EU) and the EU Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM) Single Country Grants Program for Disaster Risk Reduction.
The conference, which is organized within the scope of the “Integrating nature-based solutions into disaster risk management to strengthen Turkey’s resilience Eco-DRR Turkey” (TERRA) Project, aims to present and discuss good practices and lessons learned worldwide in the field of ecosystem-based disaster risk reduction.
The international conference aims to disseminate good practices and lessons learned about worldwide projects and processes that integrate ecosystem management into sustainable long-term development planning and disaster risk reduction, and to bring together national and international professionals working in related fields.

Posters and oral presentations in English will be accepted on the following topics. Presentations can be made in Turkish and English at the conference. Simultaneous translation will be provided. Presentations and especially posters are expected to include best practices and success stories. However, theoretical presentations and posters will also be evaluated. Abstracts and/or full papers will be published.
The accommodation and transportation expenses of presenters and poster owners (maximum 1 person per presentation) will be covered by the conference organization.
