The Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) hosted the 'TERRA: Turkey - Disaster Risk Reduction through Sustainable Management of Ecosystems Project Opening Conference' funded by Turkey and the European Union (EU). The "TERRA: Turkey - Disaster Risk Reduction through Sustainable Management of Ecosystems Project Opening Conference" funded by Turkey and the European Union (EU) was hosted by the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD). AFAD's statement said, "The project, which was implemented to include nature-based solutions in disaster risk management, is of critical importance for the management of nature-based disasters and the sustainable management of ecosystems."

The international conference “Sustainable Ecosystems for Disaster Resilience: Good Practices and Success Stories” will be organized in Antalya on May 14-16, 2025, with the co-financing of AFAD Presidency, the European Union (EU) and the EU Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM) Single Country Grants Program for Disaster Risk Reduction.
